Welcome!
I am one of the two TAB-nominated candidates for 2009 IEEE Technical Activities Vice-President-elect. The election will occur this fall (September & October 2008). For additional information, you may view the IEEE election page on the web.
Briefly, I am a long-term Industry person with 40 years of management , systems & design engineering and logistics/supportability experience at Westinghouse, Mantech International, and now Raytheon (formerly Hughes Aircraft) where I am a Director. I believe that my industry background and experience makes me well qualified to understand and address the needs of the industry and government members of IEEE, which constitutes the bulk (56.6% per year-end 2005 data) of IEEE membership worldwide.
My IEEE volunteer experience began in 1978 and I have been active ever since, primarily with applications-focused conferences. Details of my overall IEEE involvement are included herein.
Within this website you can also see more details about my general background, experience, and plans to meet the challenges I see for IEEE in the future.
